BB Round-up – Arsenal in striker swoop, Fergie goes Brazilian and Liverpool eye defensive reinforcements

With all Premier League managers surviving for another week (the same can’t be said about Roy Keane), attention turns once again to possible transfers. All the Premier League big boys are being linked with new players this morning, with Arsene Wenger set to bring a South American striker to Arsenal, and Sir Alex Ferguson scouting Brazil’s talent in search of a new goalkeeper.

If Roy Hodgson does survive the sack, then it looks like he’ll be bringing some new defenders to Liverpool, with Tottenham and Stoke stoppers both on his radar. Meanwhile there’s a fight on for Birmingham’s Sebastian Larsson, as north-east rivals Newcastle and Sunderland look to win the race for the midfielder’s signature ahead of the Tyne-Wear derby next weekend.
